Creating a Game

• Open the app and log in.
• Click on the 'Play' button:

• Click on 'Create New Game'. You will then see the following screen:

• On this screen you can:
  • • • Edit the name of your game. 
      • Select your scoring format
      • Select how many rounds your game consists of.
      • Select if you want the round to be included in your handicap calculation. 
• Once ready click on 'Continue'. You will see the following screen:

• On this screen you can:
  • • Change the data and time of your game (by default you will be on round one if you previously selected to play a multi round game, and you will see this screen once each for every round). 
    • Change the handicap % that you want to play off.
    • Change your game format. This is defaulted to an individual event (no team element). Leaderboards will automatically be generated depending on the format of your game. 
    • For team games choose how many scores per hole count (eg, best 2). 
    • Select the course that you will be playing. 
    • Select if you are playing 18 holes, 9 holes (front or back) or a custom set up of holes. 
    • Select the tee colour you will be playing off. 
    • Once you have set everything as desired click on 'Continue'. You will see the following screen:

• On this screen you can manage your tee times, add in and remove other players, edit a players playing handicap for this game and for team events edit the team names.
• You can also edit the start hole and tee time for each tee time that you add / edit. 
• To add in other players to your tee time click on the orange 'edit' box next to the first tee time, you will see the following screen:

• To add another golfer, click on an empty space within the tee time. You will then see the following screen:

• If you already follow the golfer you want to add find them from your following list that you are presented with and click on the 'add player' icon next to their name. 
• If you do not already follow them, but you know that they have a VPAR profile, you can click on the search bar at the top of the screen to search for them. You will need to enter their first name and start typing their surname to limit the results. You can also search for their complete email address if you know this. It is best to set a profile picture so that your golfing friends can easily find you. NB, Android users will need to click on the magnifying image in order to access the search function.
• If you do not already follow them, and they do not already have a VPAR profile, you can create a new one. Click on the 'add golfer' icon, which looks like this:

• Doing so, you will be presented with the following screen:

• Fill in all of the fields, and then click on 'create' and you will be taken back to the tee time screen in order to add another player, or return to the game set up. 
• Once you have added the players to your first tee time, click on save and you will be returned to the tee times screen. If you do not need to add any other tee times you can click on continue, that is the set up process complete and you will be taken to an overview screen where you can select to start the scoring, or go back and edit. 
• If you do want to add another tee time, click on 'Add' in the 'New Tee Time' row and follow the steps above. Repeat as many times as needed before clicking continue. 

• If you want to edit a players playing handicap for the game, open the tee time that they are in and click on the pencil icon to the right of their name, then select the desired handicap.

• If you want to remove a player from the tee time, open the tee time that player has been added to and then:
  • • • For iOS users - swipe across to the left on the screen and click on 'remove player'.
      • For Android users - long press (hold down you finger) on the player until the 'remove player' option appears.
